My future garden

We were driving around over the weekend and stumbled across this beautiful flower garden. I really like the bursts of color, shapes and texture they have created. I also really like the type of stone that they have used to create the wall.

I took a photo of it because in the future, I'm going to use it as inspiration for my own garden.

I can't wait. ;o)

Sorry everyone, I've been a baaad blogger. I'm back now and I'll try to post more often.

For a little visual summary of what life has been like lately... here is a photo in all it's grossness.

I had a mole checked by the dermatologist and obviously it came back with bad juju and now I have Frankenstein stitches. I've been telling people who ask that I've been in a knife fight, it's much more fun that way.

To feed, or not to feed...

... or the dilemma of keeping your pet's food bowl filled.


I know some people religiously measure out a predetermined amount of food for their pets, feeding them once or twice a day only and when it's gone, it's gone. However, I have always given my pets all the food they want by filling their bowls up when they are empty and I have never had a fat pet. I think it's a normal way to feed pets and I've never had a problem with it, but recently I've come under scrutiny for it. (thanks Mom!)

I truly believe it's up to your pets disposition and I guess I'm lucky in getting animals that stop when they are full and aren't tubby. Who knows, maybe both the cat and I will both end up on Weight Watchers, but for now, we're doing just fine.
